Valve Working on ‘Steam box’ Console to Compete with Wii U, PlayStation 4 and Next Xbox?

The Verge, a technology publication,is reporting that Valve is getting ready to show of its own console called ‘Steam Box’ to compete with Nintendo’s Wii U, Sony’s PlayStation 4, and Microsoft’s Xbox. Valve apparently have numbers of developers and publishers working with them, and the console could be revealed at next weeks GDC conference.

We’re told that the basic specs of the Steam Box include a Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GPU. The devices will be able to run any standard PC titles, and will also allow for rival gaming services (like EA’s Origin) to be loaded up.
